My Background

  • I have a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education K-12 from West Chester University in Pennsylvania.
  • I furthered this training with a Master's Degree in Piano Education (Pedagogy).
  • I have been teaching wind and brass instruments, piano, voice, and stringed instruments for over 35 years.
  • I perform regularly as a Church Organist, Soloist and Choir Director.
  • I founded and lead the Serenity Singers Praise Team.
  • Many of my students have been selected to District and All State Ensembles and many have then passed College entrance auditions.
  • Teaching the fundamentals of music, no matter what the instrument, is the core of my curriculum.
  • Beginners through college audition prep, as well as adult students will receive a personalized plan that meets their interests and goals.

Sharing my Passion

There is only one kind of music - GOOD music - it doesn't matter what style of music we will be working on, it must be played with energy and excitement.

Students will be challenged to expand their abilities while maintaining a repertoire at their own performance level. This helps in creating a sense of accomplishment.

  • All lessons are private with the exception of "Mommy and me" sessions for pre-schoolers.
  • Small group opportunities will be made available as the need arises.
  • Students may choose a 30 minute or 60 minute lesson.
